Discover: Acts XXIX (DO NOT DELETE)

Simply put, an experience of the gospel surrounded by food, conversation and prayer. The Rescue Project seeks to proclaim the gospel in a compelling and attractive way over eight weeks in a small group format. This experience is imbued with beauty, authentic humanity, and accompaniment.

The Series

Fr. John shares how we see the mission of the Church, and how it flows from the Big Story. From this Big Story flows the mission of the Church. And from it flows our own mission in the particular time and place in which the Lord has put us.

The Big Story

Fr. John Riccardo preaches on the home as the place where the world meets the Church. And this isn't about the domestic Church. Fr. John preached on March 6, 2025 at Saint John's Resort as part of the AIP Speaker Series.

The Home: Where the World Meets the Church

We are called to rescue, renew and transform the human family into the family of God. We are surrounded with such a great cloud of witnesses to inspire, encourage and strengthen us on the journey.
We will release each of the videos over the coming weeks!

Episode 212: Restoring the Initiative to God

In our opening keynote, Fr. John gathers us and preaches a word from our Lord Jesus; encouraging us to behold the communion of saints, our Lord Jesus, and our Father Who runs to us!

Among the many graces of our time together and with the Lord at The Jesus Conference was the profound and tangible nearness of those heroic men and women who have gone before us and now surround us like a raucous crowd in a football stadium. They were chosen for their time and we were chosen for this time. And so how fitting that we release the opening night’s reflection on this Solemnity of All Saints! May their prayers and example, and above all the grace of our Lord Jesus, encourage and inspire us to carry on the mission the Lord has entrusted to us.

C4 - Oración y el Retiro

Chapter Seven reminds us that as important as a compelling argument can be, there is something — Someone — necessary to move me to surrender.

“It is the Holy Spirit, therefore, who instills the sentiment of divine sonship into the heart, who makes us feel (not just know!) that we are children of God. The Spirit himself joins with our spirit to bear witness that we are children of God (Rom 8:16). This fundamental work of the Holy Spirit sometimes takes places in a sudden and intense way in the life of a person … On the occasion of a retreat…or on the occasion of prayer for a new releasing of the Spirit the soul is filled with a new light in which God reveals himself in a way as Father. … A feeling of great trust and confidence and a completely new sense of the condescension of God are experienced. At other times, instead, this revelation of the Father is accompanied by such a strong feeling of God’s majesty and transcendence that the soul is overwhelmed.”

Ch 7 - Words are not enough

Over the past five years now, the Lord has been teaching us in ACTS XXIX some simple ways to return to what Cardinal Cantalamessa reminds us was the common modus operandi for the saints.
