The Jesus Conference

Discover: Acts XXIX (DO NOT DELETE)

Fr. John shares how we see the mission of the Church, and how it flows from the Big Story. From this Big Story flows the mission of the Church. And from it flows our own mission in the particular time and place in which the Lord has put us.

The Big Story

Does God have a preferred way to be thanked? We think He does and Chapter Eight breaks open the unexpected answer.

Episode 89: An Interview with Fr. John About His New Book

Pray with Fr. John as he journeys through the mysteries of God made man!
- Prayed on Mondays and Saturdays

The Joyful Mysteries

Simply put, an experience of the gospel surrounded by food, conversation and prayer. The Rescue Project seeks to proclaim the gospel in a compelling and attractive way over eight weeks in a small group format. This experience is imbued with beauty, authentic humanity, and accompaniment.

The Series

Why is everything so obviously messed up? Chapter Three shines light on why things are not as they should be, and identifies the one and only enemy of the human race.

“The sight of these happy creatures filled the devil and his fallen angels with anger and envy. They took thought as to how they might mar the work of God and destroy the destiny of this newly created race. They set about to enslave those whom they had been meant to serve and to degrade those who had been assigned such an exalted place into the lowly slime beneath their feet.”

Ch 3 - The Enemy is the enemy

Are you in need of a reminder that the Church has always venerated the Scriptures even as She venerates the Body of the Lord? The Word of God is rich food!

In this episode, Fr. John unpacks both yesterday’s and today’s Gospel and exhorts us to press into the Word of God and abide in the fellowship He’s inviting us to. Support You Were Born for This with Fr. John Riccardo

Episode 37: Be Not Afraid: Feast on the Word of God

The enemy is forever trying to intimidate. He whispers lies into our minds that are variations on this theme: “You’re all alone. You’re outnumbered. You’re undermanned. You don’t have a chance.” But he is a liar. The truth is, we are anything but alone. And not only are we not alone, we are part of a communion that exceeds all we can comprehend.

Pray the Rosary

A series for those seeking to become Catholic, originally preached as a part of the RCIA preparation when Fr. John Riccardo was the pastor at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Plymouth Michigan.

Becoming Catholic

Based on our most recently released prayer journal, this new series hosted by Fr. John Riccardo and Mary Guilfoyle was created to accompany and further equip leaders in forever changing the way we make decisions. In this series, we explore together how to remove obstacles to true discernment and establish the essential ways for praying together, all in order to restore the initiative to God—whether in diocesan offices, parish teams, apostolates, or family life.

Speak, Lord: The Art of Synodality

Everyone sees reality through a particular worldview, a set of lenses, if you will. In this introduction, we offer a set of lenses that brings hope.

“This is how stories work. They invite listeners into a new world, and encourage them to make it their own, to see their ordinary world from now on through this lens, within this grid.”

– N.T. Wright, Jesus and the Victory of God

Episode 411: April 15, 2012-Noon Mass at OLGC

Too often, I think, we imagine the saints to be statues or stained glass windows, and forget that they were men and women with pasts, some of which make some of us blush, and others of us feel downright, well, hopeful!

Now available, The Resistance: God’s Plan for Renewing the Human Family is a bold and timely call to join what Fr. Riccardo describes as “a great campaign of resistance.” It sends us into every sphere of human activity to help restore God’s design by confronting the prevailing cultural trends of anger, division, utility, and materialism; fostering healing where there is brokenness; bringing light where there is darkness; and renewing purpose where all seems lost.
